RCB Dressing Room Scenes: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lost to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by four wickets yesterday in the Eliminator match of IPL 2021. The dream of Virat Kohli, playing his last IPL for RCB as captain, also remained unfulfilled for the franchise to win its first title. After the defeat, where captain Kohli laughed very strongly on the field and handled his team, inside the dressing room, the disappointment of every player in the team was well known. The RCB franchise has posted a video inside the dressing room after the loss on its YouTube channel, in which every player of the team looks very disappointed and emotional.

Along with the video, RCB has also praised the spirit of the team’s players and their excellent performance in this season. Posting the video on its Twitter account, the franchise wrote, “A wonderful campaign has come to an abrupt end today. This proved to be Virat Kohli’s last match as captain of RCB today. Exceptional play and team spirit from the players of the team has given us this opportunity.” Got to the point. There is a tremendous friendship between all the players of the team. Our journey in this IPL season ended today and everyone in the dressing room is emotional.” During the video, all the players of the team including Mohammad Siraj, AB de Villiers and Harshal Patel are looking very sad.

Virat said- Enjoyed cricket the most in this season

Talking to fellow players in the dressing room, Kohli said, “Our season of IPL 2016 was very ‘special’. If I look at the performance of the team in this season, I can say one thing with certainty that this year we have played cricket. Enjoyed the most.” Also praising the team, he said, “Being part of this group is very special for me. The way we have handled both defeat and victory, it is very special for us.”

Disappointed but not broken – Kohli

At the same time, Virat Kohli said, “We have worked very hard to reach here. Yes we are definitely disappointed but not broken. We are all disappointed but we are proud of our game and each other. I have nine years in this franchise. I got a chance to captain till then and I will always be thankful to you for that.” After this, Kohli jokingly said, “I will still be the leader of the team but only as a player. I will not take the decision in the match. The friendship that has formed between us here will be between us for a long time. You all Thank you.”
