Kashmir: Indian Railways’ first electric train to save environment, passengers will also get benefit

Kashmir Keeping in view the environment in the valley Indian Railway For Kashmir Division first electric train is starting. This train will be seen running on the tracks from the first week of this month. According to the Indian Railways, the electric train will run on the 137-km-long Banihal-Baramulla corridor of the Jammu-Kashmir rail link. Several trials were conducted for this on the Budgam-Baramulla rail link and the Banihal-Baramulla rail link. According to officials, the total project cost of the electric rail link is Rs 324 crore.
According to Abid Amin Shah, Additional General Manager, IRCON, he also got the safety and safety inspection done by the Principal Chief Electrical Engineer of Northern Railway. This was done for three days and he is fit to run the first electric train on this section.

New Vande Bharat covered 492 kms in 5 hours
Meanwhile, the new Vande Bharat Express semi-high speed train covered 492 km between Ahmedabad and Mumbai in five and a half hours on Friday. There were 313 passengers on the train on the first day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the train from Gandhinagar at around 10.30 am. The train left from platform 9 of Ahmedabad railway station at 2 pm and reached Mumbai Central railway station at 7.30 pm.
Western Railway’s Chief Public Relations Officer Sumit Thakur said that there were 313 passengers in the train, out of which 47 were in the executive chair car category while the rest were in the chair car coach. Along with them were railway officials and media personnel.
Booking for the new train was started a day before. Passengers were excited to be a part of the first journey of the train and they were taking photos and making videos with their mobiles during the journey. Apart from this, the train also attracted various railway stations lying on the route, railway personnel, people walking on the road near the tracks and people living in buildings and they were seen making videos and taking photographs of the train passing by. Jaideep Nimawat, a real estate businessman going from Surat to Ahmedabad with his family, said, “This train is amazing as compared to other trains. The seats are luxurious and comfortable.
