IIT entrance exam results declared
New Delhi, The results of the entrance exam for admission to the country’s apex institute of technology IITs have been released. More than 1.5 lakh candidates had appeared in this examination, out of which 40 thousand have been selected. Colleges and subjects will be allotted to successful participants after counseling. RK Shishir of Bombay Zone has secured the first position in the JEE Advanced results for admission to Indian Institute of Technology ie IIT.
This year IIT Mumbai itself had conducted the exam. It has been told from his side that Shishir has got 314 marks out of 360. Among women, Tanishka Kabra of Delhi Zone topped with 277 marks. However, at her all-India level, she was ranked 16th. According to the information given by IIT Mumbai, one lakh 55 thousand 538 candidates appeared in the first and second papers of JEE Advanced 2022, out of which a total of 40,712 candidates passed the examination. Of these, 6,516 are girl students.
In JEE Advanced exam, Sishir was followed by Polu Lakshmi Sai Lohit Reddy at second and Thomas Biju Cheeramvelil at third position. The rest seven are named among the top 10 candidates – Vangapalli Sai Siddhartha, Mayank Motwani, Polisetty Karthikeya, Prateek Sahu, Dheeraj Kurukunda, Mahit Gandhiwala and Vetcha Gyan Mahesh. The total marks of the candidates is calculated on the basis of the sum of the marks secured in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
