Hearing on the petition challenging the decision of demonetisation
New Delhi. The Supreme Court has said that it will hear on October 12 the petitions challenging the Centre’s decision to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes in 2016.
Justice S. a. A constitution bench headed by Nazir on Wednesday said that if the petitions are filed from the point of view of an in-principle process, they will be taken cognizance of it. In this bench, Justice B. R. Gavai, Justice A. s. Bopanna (Justice A. s. Bopanna), Justice V. Ramasubramaniam and Justice B. V. Nagarathna (BV Nagarathna) was also involved.
The bench was hearing 58 petitions challenging the November 8, 2016 decision of the Centre. (Language)
