Mumbai: Three new shows are coming up on Disney Plus Hot Star. These include Hansal Mehta’s ‘Lootere’, Bhuvan Bam’s ‘Taza Khabar’ and Patralekha’s ‘Aar Ya Paar’. ‘Lootere’ is based on stories based on real life characters or incidents. The story revolves around the life of the Jadhavs, who migrated from Bihar to Molo in Kenya, but got caught up in fierce ethnic conflicts in the country.
The new show was unveiled by OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar on Thursday on the occasion of Disney Plus Day. On the project Hansal Mehta said, “This association with Disney Plus Hotstar is special for two reasons. One is that it is directed by my son Jai. Second that Disney Plus Hotstar is known to bring as a platform to life. For some amazing and out-of-the-box stories.”
The series is directed by Hansal’s son Jay Mehta, and stars Vivek Gomber, Rajat Kapoor, Amrita Khanvilkar, Gaurav Sharma, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Preetika Chawla and other versatile actors.
Throwing light on his character in ‘Taza Khabar’, Bhuvan said, “The story of my character, Vasya, brings out the irony of the society in a way that makes you wonder how magic and miracles happen. Also, This new avatar is completely different from all the roles.”
The third series, ‘Aar Ya Paar’, starring Aditya Rawal, Sumeet Vyas, Patralekha, Ashish Vidyarthi and Shilpa Shukla, portrays a tribal man’s struggle against the modern world and its corrupt political and financial machinery.
