New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched 5G telephony services in the country, ushering in the era of ultra high speed internet on mobile phones.
Prime Minister Modi launched 5G services in select cities at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022. These services will be gradually made available across the country over the next few years.
A fifth generation or 5G service capable of providing ultra high-speed Internet services is expected to provide new economic opportunities and social benefits. (Language)
