Dumka: Gas tanker explodes, three buses caught on fire
Dumka. A gas tanker overturned, exploded and caught fire in Jharkhand’s Dumka district on Thursday afternoon, damaging at least three buses parked nearby. Superintendent of Police Amber Lakra said that the incident took place on the State Highway-17 in Dhawtand area near Hansdiha.
The tanker, which was on its way to Haldia in East Medinipur district in West Bengal, overturned and exploded, following which it caught fire, police said. At least three buses parked nearby and several trees came under fire, police said. There was no immediate report of any casualty in this incident. Hansdiha Police Inspector Naval Kishore Singh said, an explosion occurred after the tanker overturned. Three buses parked nearby and several trees also caught fire.
