Bihar: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s cabinet expanded, 31 faces included

The cabinet of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has been expanded. A total of 31 MLAs took oath today. Governor Fagu Chauhan administered the oath of office and secrecy to 31 ministers at Raj Bhavan. The RJD has got the maximum representation in this government of the Grand Alliance. 16 ministers have taken oath from its quota while 11 ministers were administered oath from JD-U. Two people have been made ministers from Congress. One member from Manjhi’s party Hum and one independent has been made a mantra.

According to the information, there will be 31 ministers including the Chief Minister in the Bihar cabinet. The vacant posts will be filled after the swearing-in of these ministers on Tuesday. CM Nitish Kumar will be in charge of five ministries including Home while Deputy CM Tejashwi has been given the responsibility of four departments including health. Tejashwi’s elder brother and RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav has been given the charge of Forest and Environment Ministry. On this side the Department of the Ministry of Education is in the quota of RJD, while the Ministry of Finance has come under the JD-U. In the BJP-JDU government, the finance ministry was with the saffron party. After this, the oath was administered to the MLAs in the order of 5 ministers each.
