Bollywood: This film director blamed the GST imposed on food items, responsible for the poor condition of Bollywood

When people pay GST on things like paneer and biscuits, then where will the money for watching movies be left! – Anurag Kashyap

Bollywood is under eclipse these days. One big film is falling face to face. Now well-known filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has given a strange statement. The director of Gangs of Wasseypur said that if there is GST on basic food items like paneer and biscuits in the country, then where will the money be left in people’s pockets to watch movies. According to Anurag Kashyap, the game of boycotting Bollywood films is being played to divert the attention of people on things like GST on food items.

Let us tell you that further Anurag said that it has been 75 years since the country got independence but Bollywood has not become independent. At present, Bollywood and cricket are being discussed to divert the attention of the people from the very bad condition of the economy. People are being diverted from the real issues by trapping them in Bollywood.

Anurag defended the content of Bollywood films saying that in reality the situation is not as bad as it is being shown. Filmmakers are being intimidated by making imaginary hows. A misconception has been created that only South films are hits. If you check, you will come to know that not all films are superhit in the South.
