‘Bapu’ a ray of hope for entire humanity: Vice President
New Delhi. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday paid tributes to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. He said that at a time when the world is going through difficult times, ‘Bapu’ remains a ray of hope for the entire humanity.
In a tweet issued by the Vice President’s Office, Dhankhar said, “I pay my respects to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary. Mahatma Gandhi, one of the most influential figures of modern India, continues to be an authentic benchmark of morality and a beacon of hope for a hurt humanity even today.
In another tweet, he said that in today’s world full of hatred, Gandhiji’s speech that war is not the solution to any problem guides humanity. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, pray for a peaceful world free from violence, extremism, terrorism and all forms of discrimination.
It is known that the whole world had not yet recovered from the Kovid-19 epidemic that the Taliban regime returned in Afghanistan and soon after Russia attacked Ukraine. Even today, where the war continues between the two countries, there has also been a situation of confrontation between some other countries of the world.
While paying tribute to Bapu, the Vice President has pointed to these global conditions. Dhankhar also paid homage to Bapu at Rajghat’s Samadhi. The Vice President also paid tributes to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on his birth anniversary and paid homage at his Samadhi at Vijay Ghat.
