Petrol tanker blast kills 3 including driver

Hajipur. Three people including the tanker driver, co-driver (Khalasi) were killed when a petrol tanker exploded during welding in Goraul police station area of ​​Bihar’s Vaishali district on Wednesday. According to the police, welding work was being done at a shop near the Godia bridge on the Hajipur-Muzaffarpur National Highway after a leak occurred in an empty Bharat Petroleum tanker.

Meanwhile, the tanker exploded, due to which the tanker’s driver, co-driver and welding mechanic died. According to the locals, the explosion was so strong that the tanker was badly damaged. Two to three people have been reported injured in the incident. Police said that the injured have been admitted to the local hospital for treatment, where the condition of all remains critical. After getting the information of the incident, the police have reached the spot and are investigating the matter.

The police have taken the dead bodies in their possession. A police official said that the identity of the dead is yet to be ascertained. Police is trying to trace the owner of the tanker. Here, angry people blocked the road by burning tires on the road and created a ruckus. The police is trying to pacify the angry people.
