AAP government is after opponents
How ironic is it that the Aam Aadmi Party is criticizing the central government for harassing the opposition parties by using central agencies and AAP’s own Punjab government is after the main opposition Congress and other opponents. From the day the Congress government was formed in Punjab, all the agencies of the state have been engaged against the Congress and other opposition leaders. Old cases are being taken out and investigated and opposition leaders are being targeted. The police and the Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab government, which have alleged misuse of the CBI and ED, are engaged in the investigation of opposition leaders.
Congress state president Raja Amarinder Singh Wadding and senior leader Sukhpal Khaira have been booked under the IT Act. State government agencies are also probing the contracts awarded during the tenure of Raja Vading as minister. Recently, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, who was a minister of the Congress government, has been accused of many types of allegations and the state’s Vigilance has arrested him. A few days after the formation of the government, the Bhagwant Mann government arrested Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, who was the Forest Minister of the Congress government led by Captain Amarinder Singh, in connection with the felling of trees. The state government has started the investigation of Vijay Inder Singla, another former minister of the state government and big leader of Congress. The cases against Kumar Vishwas, Alka Lamba etc. who criticized party supremo Arvind Kejriwal are in their place.
