New Delhi. A statement by yoga guru Baba Ramdev about women has sparked controversy. Ramdev said on Friday that women look good in saree, they look good in salwar too, but in his view they (women) will look good even if they don’t wear anything like him. Several women, including Amrita, wife of the state’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, were present on the stage with Ramdev at that time. Women are angry with his statement.
A yoga camp and provincial women’s convention was organized at Highland Park in Thane on Friday. Ramdev made this statement after a yoga camp. Praising Amruta Fadnavis, he said that she will not be old till 100 years, she always laughs like a child.
After this controversial statement of Swami Ramdev, now his protest has started in Maharashtra. NCP protested fiercely against him in Mumbai. NCP has demanded strict action against Baba. BJP has also asked Baba to apologize for the controversial statement.
