Uttarakhand: Vigilance sword on two officers
Dehradun. The government has ordered a vigilance inquiry against two former officers of the Milk Union and the State Co-operative Bank. On the basis of a confidential complaint, the Vigilance had done the same preliminary investigation against Deepak Kumar.
Such complaint was received. In order, the Vigilance Committee has ordered a vigilance inquiry on Wednesday. A confidential complaint of financial irregularities was received against Mansingh Pal, the former in-charge of Dehradun Milk Union.
He was also accused of acquiring disproportionate assets. Vigilance conducted a confidential investigation in this matter for about one and a half months. Apart from this, there was a complaint against the former General Manager of the State Cooperative Bank, Dehradun Milk Union and former officers of the State Cooperative Bank. After conducting a preliminary inquiry against both the officers, the Vigilance had sought permission from the government for a detailed investigation.
In this sequence, a meeting of the Vigilance Committee was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu. In this, vigilance inquiry has been ordered against both the officers. (IANS),
