Two children die of hepatitis in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag

Srinagar. Two children died due to a suspected outbreak of Hepatitis in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Official sources said that a child had died a few days ago on Sunday in Kaimoh village of Anantnag district while another minor had died of suspected hepatitis outbreak now. The minor boy, who was infected with suspected hepatitis, died at the Jhelum Valley Medical College Hospital in Srinagar city, sources said.

While a minor girl had also died in the same hospital sometime back. More than a dozen people living in the village are suffering from suspected Hepatitis-A symptoms. Sources said, medical team and people from Jal Shakti Department have been deployed on the ground to detect the presence of Hepatitis infection in the village.
