Those selling adulterated food in Rajasthan are not well

Jaipur. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has started a special campaign in view of the upcoming festive season, under which a reward of Rs 51,000 will be given to anyone who gives information about adulterated food in the state. This was announced after a high-level meeting at Gehlot’s residence.

The Chief Minister said that it is the right of the citizens to get pure food products and the concerned departments should play a proactive role to ensure accuracy. People of the state can complain about adulteration on the helpline number 181. Complaints can be lodged with the District Collector and the concerned authorities. The identity of the individual will be kept confidential.

Meanwhile, people calling the helpline number will get a reward if their claim of adulterated food is verified. Along with this, it has also been announced to give Rs 5,000 to those who give information about the distributor of substandard food.

The Chief Minister said that public participation should be ensured in the effective implementation of the campaign. Instructions were also given to use the mobile lab effectively. Seven new labs are being set up in the state for sample testing. Gehlot said that the deployment of food safety officers has also been strengthened. (IANS)
