Simarjeet Singh joins Mumbai Indians: Five-time champions Mumbai Indians have included Delhi fast bowler Simarjit Singh in their team for the remaining matches of the second half of IPL 2021 being played in UAE. Simarjeet has been included in the Rohit Sharma-led side as a replacement for left-arm Mumbai pacer Arjun Tendulkar. Please tell that Arjun Tendulkar has been ruled out of IPL 2021 due to injury.

Mumbai Indians said in their statement, “Mumbai Indians have named Simarjit Singh as a replacement for the injured Arjun Tendulkar for the remainder of their IPL 2021 season. After completing the quarantine, practice has started with the team.

This will be Simarjeet’s first stint in the IPL. Simarjit, 23, made his List A debut for Delhi in September 2018, while his first-class debut came two months later. A year later, he played his first T20 match for Delhi. Overall, he has played 10 first-class, 19 List A and 15 T20 matches for Delhi. Simarjeet has 37 first-class, 19 List A and 18 T20 wickets to his name. Simarjeet was among the five net bowlers for the Indian team’s white-ball tour of Sri Lanka in July this year.
