Reliance Jio is preparing to launch 5G services across India. This information has been shared by the company’s chairman Akash Ambani.
Let us tell you that now Reliance Jio is preparing to roll out 5G across the country. The company did not share further details about the 5G plans and trials. While information about other telecom companies such as Vodafone Idea (Vi) and Bharti Airtel has come to the fore. Now Reliance Jio has indicated that its 5G service can be launched across the country on August 15. Reliance Jio chairman Akash Ambani has indicated this. It has said that it will celebrate the elixir of freedom with the 5G rollout across India.
According to Akash Ambani, Jio will provide world class, affordable 5G and 5G enabled service to the users. Let us tell you that the company has bought so much spectrum during the spectrum auction that it can start 5G services on a large scale in the country. The telecom company has spent more than Rs 88,078 crore in this spectrum auction. Along with this, it also has airwaves which other telecom companies do not have. Jio is the only telecom company which currently has 700 MHz airwaves. This will benefit other telecom companies.
Now Akash Ambani has talked clearly about the 5G launch. But, it will be interesting to see if Jio can execute it. We are saying this because there is no 5G network in India yet. Till now all 5G networks have been tested for which the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has provided spectrum. We will have to wait for more details on this. For this, users will also need a 5G SIM. Apart from this, if it is successful in doing so, then it will have an advantage over other telecom companies.
