Tata Tiago EV: The demand for electric vehicles is increasing in the country, but still you have to spend at least 16 to 20 lakhs to buy an electric car. Keeping this need in mind Tata Motors has today launched its third electric model, the Tiago EV, in India with a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-of-the-line variant of the Tiago EV is priced at Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
Booking will start from October 10
The bookings for the Tiago EV will start from October 10. The deliveries of the vehicle will start in January next year. Tata Motors Tiago EV Out of the first 10,000 units, 2000 are in reserve. The new Tata Tiago EV is available with two different battery packs 19.2kWh and 24kWh. Where 3.3kW AC charging option has been given in the 19.2kWh variant. Whereas the 24kWh variant comes with 3.3kW AC and 7.2kW AC charging options.

Eight Year Standard Warranty
Tata Tiago EV comes with IP67 rated battery pack and motor. Both come with a standard warranty of eight years and 1,60,000 kms. The claimed top range for the new electric model is 315km. While the Tata Tiago EV has multiple drive modes, it can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 5.7 seconds in Sport mode.
As far as features are concerned, the Tiago EV gets projector auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, dual-tone roof, electric tailgate, leather seats, touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, cruise control, reverse parking camera and cooled glovebox.
Tiago is the third electric car from Tata Motors
Tata Motors said on World Electric Vehicle Day on September 9 that the Tiago EV will be the company’s third product in the electric segment after the Nexon and Tigor. Tata Motors aims to introduce 10 electric models in the next five years. The company has not yet announced other cars, but it is believed that the Altros and Punch could also be launched in an electric avatar.

Talking about the Tata Tiago EV, many changes will be made in this electric car. It is expected that Tata Motors will use the same Ziptron technology for the Tiago EV as they are using for the Tigor EV and Nexon EV, which could be powered by a 26 kWh battery pack. This battery will be capable of giving a range of 306 km per charge. At the same time, it takes a total of 8 hours to charge this car.
