Surat: Awareness program by Chamber of Commerce regarding investment in share market
‘Trading mindset’ can’t make money in stock market, need to invest and stay in company for long term: Experts
An event on ‘Market Outlook’ was organized by South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Samridhi Nanpura, Surat. Many members of the Chamber of Commerce take risks and invest in the stock market. It often happens that in the absence of necessary knowledge about the stock market or without experience, they take big risks by investing. Hence this event was organized by the Chamber of Commerce for the purpose of creating awareness among its members. In which Ajay Tyagi, Head of Equity, UTI Asset Management gave important guidance as an expert speaker.
Trading mindset cannot make money in stock market
Ajay Tyagi said that trading mindset cannot make money in the stock market. No one can predict where the market will go in the next six months or a year. Therefore, the company in which to invest should know where the company is going to go in the next five years. There are ten companies that should be researched in which one can invest.
He advised investors to research which sectors have made progress in the country and which companies are coming up in these areas. He said that the assumption that the market will come down if the interest rate rises is also wrong. He said that the stock market is for high IQ people but not for high IQ people. The market is going to go up and down but investors are not going to get emotional. Not to be influenced by the market but to take advantage of it. Big and small negative events are bound to happen in the market, but move forward with a positive mindset.
Invest by focusing on the business of the company
Companies with higher capital return on equity are likely to stay higher going forward. So the share price will not be affected but there is a need to focus on the business of the company. For that he advised the investors to invest for a long time and stay in the company by giving practical and logical knowledge to the investors by giving various examples.
Chamber of Commerce President Himanshu Bodawala delivered the welcome address at the event. Ketan Dalal, Advisor, Chambers Capital and Commodity Markets Committee, introduced Speaker Ajay Tyagi. The chairman of the committee, Ayub Yakub Ali, prepared the program outline and conducted the entire program. Stock market expert Ajay Tyagi answered many questions of investors. In the end, the Honorary Treasurer of the Chamber, Bhavesh Gadhia, concluded the program by expressing his gratitude for the survey.
