Mumbai The Uddhav Thackeray-led camp of the Shiv Sena on Sunday criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on “shortcut politics” and questioned the manner in which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would form government in alliance with the Eknath Shinde-led camp. . The Prime Minister made the above remarks while addressing a gathering in Nagpur today after laying the foundation stone and inaugurating projects worth Rs 75,000 crore.
Modi said that “the development of the country cannot happen through shortcut politics and some political parties are trying to destroy the country’s economy and people should expose such political leaders and parties.” Terming the Prime Minister’s remarks as “ridiculous”, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi said, “Shortcut politics to form an illegal and unconstitutional government is undermining the Constitution, country’s federal structure, democracy and agencies. ”
In a reference to the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government formed in June after a rebellion in the then Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, Chaturvedi said, “You (BJP) could have waited for five years for elections and then got your majority.” Were. But what you have done is the result of shortcut gains, shortcut politics, which harms constitutional morality.”
He said that at present Maharashtra has a Chief Minister whose party is not even registered. After the split in the Shiv Sena, the Shinde faction became known as the ‘Balasahebchi Shiv Sena’, while the Thackeray-led faction was the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray).
