Explain that the Agneepath scheme, announced on June 14, has a provision for youth in the age group of 17-and-a-half to 21 years to be recruited in the defense forces for only four years, of whom there is a provision to retain 25 percent for an additional 15 years. Is. There were protests in many states against this plan. Later, the government increased the upper age limit for recruitment to 23 years in 2022. However, even after this, there was no decrease in the demonstrations happening across the country.
Navy’s employment advertisement was being heard
Agneepath Scheme High Court : The High Court was hearing an application filed in a pending petition on Tuesday. In which the employment advertisement of the Indian Navy has been challenged. The Navy reserves the right to select applicants by raising the cut-off marks in the Class 12th examination against the already prescribed eligibility criteria in the advertisement. Meanwhile, the court made it clear that it will hear the petitions in the Agneepath cases from the next 20th.

Agneepath Scheme High Court : During the ongoing hearing on Tuesday, a bench of Chief Justice Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramaniam Prasad was represented by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta. He informed the court that similar cases challenging the Agneepath scheme are already pending before the High Court and they should be heard together. The bench directed that all such petitions be listed together for hearing on July 20.
