Ranchi. Ranchi District Police of Jharkhand has arrested three criminals from Bengal and Ranchi. Ranchi’s Senior Superintendent of Police Kaushal Kishore said today that on the directions of City SP Anshuman Kumar, a special team was formed under the leadership of DSP Kotwali Prakash Soy. The team constituted in the course of investigation arrested three criminals involved in the incident from Bengal and Ranchi. The arrested criminals have confessed their crime during interrogation. The SSP said that the arrested criminal Aman Kumar alias Guddu told during interrogation that he was known to Sanjay Chaudhary, owner of Mangalam plywood shop located in Delimarket, for about one and a half years ago. Aman Kumar aka Guddu told Sanjay Chaudhary a plan to double the money. On this, Sanjay Chaudhary believed his words.
Aman Kumar alias Guddu asked Sanjay Chaudhary to bring Rs 15 lakh in cash on the day of the incident and instead it was decided to send double money through RTGS in his account within half an hour. After the matter was settled, Aman Kumar aka Gudad along with some of his friends made a plan to rob the said money. On October 21, at 11.30 am, Saurabh Sabu came to Mangalam Plywood shop in Vishnu Gali with 13 lakh rupees in a bag. Vishnu Chaudhary was present in the shop at that time. As soon as Saurabh Sabu entered the shop with the bag, it was informed to his other friends by the criminals doing the recce. As soon as the information was received, Aman Kumar alias Guddu, Abdul Nabi Sayyed and other criminals entered the shop and started inquiring about the money. 13 lakh rupees kept in the bag by Vishnu Chaudhary and Saurabh Sabu showed the above three and asked to send double money to their account through RTGS as promised.
At the same time, another criminal from behind also came to the same shop. As soon as he came, the criminals started demanding bags full of money from Vishnu Chaudhary and Saurabh Sabu. Threatening to shoot if not given, the bag full of money started snatching. On protesting by Vishnu and Saurabh, the criminals opened fire with the pistol kept with them. In the same sequence, Saurabh was shot in the left hand but the criminals could not escape with a bag containing money. After the attack, the criminals fled on the bike towards Bada Talab. The said money was deposited in the bank by Saurabh Sabu on the same day through his staff. Raids are on to arrest other criminals involved in this case. (talk)
