Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed over 71,000 appointment letters to youth of the country
New Delhi. Describing the youth as the biggest strength of the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to more than 71,000 youth under the ‘Rozgar Mela’, a recruitment drive for 10 lakh personnel and said That this campaign to provide employment to the youth will continue continuously.
On this occasion, while addressing the youth through video conference, the Prime Minister said that for the last one month, similar campaigns are also being run in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ruled states and union territories. He said, these are the advantages of having double engine governments. This process of handing over appointment letters to the youth will continue.
It may be noted that the government of ‘double engine’ is the main issue of the election campaign of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In the assembly elections of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, the BJP has also raised it loudly.
The Prime Minister handed over appointment letters to a total of 71,056 youth. Physical copies of appointment letters were handed over to the newly appointed youth at 45 places in the country except Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. The process of assembly elections is going on in both these states and the Model Code of Conduct is in force there.
Modi said that thousands of youths have been handed over appointment letters in the NDA-ruled states within the last one month alone. In the last one month, only Maharashtra and Gujarat have handed over appointment letters to thousands of youths, he said. A few days ago, the Uttar Pradesh government also handed over the appointment letters. Employment fairs were also organized in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Chandigarh and jobs were given to the youth. He said that Goa and Tripura have also organized such job fairs recently.
The Prime Minister described the youth as the biggest strength of the nation and said that the central government is giving top priority to the maximum use of the talent and energy of the youth in nation building. He said, from start-ups to self-employment, from space to drones, all-round new opportunities are being created for the youth in India today. He said that today India has become the world’s biggest superpower in terms of service exports and now even experts are expressing confidence that India will become the world’s power house in the field of manufacturing.
Modi said, schemes like Production Linked Incentive (PLI) will play a big role in this. But its main base will be the skilled youth of India. The Prime Minister said that experts fear a major crisis in developed countries but economists say that India has a golden opportunity to show its economic potential. He told the youth that the appointment letter they have received today is just an entry point. He expressed hope that the youth who have got jobs will never lack in making efforts to enhance their potential.
It means (getting the appointment letter) that a new world of progress has opened before you, he said. Make yourself more and more capable. Increase your ability while working, increase your ability by acquiring knowledge, increase your ability by learning good things from your seniors.
The Prime Minister said that he too tries to learn continuously like the youth. He said, I never let my inner student die. I learn from everyone. I try to learn from every little thing. And this is the reason why today I never hesitate to do many things at once, there is no hesitation, I am able to do it. You can too.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister also launched the online orientation course “Karmayogi Prabandh” to be organized for the newly appointed personnel. This will include information related to the code of conduct for government employees, workplace ethics and integrity, human resource policies and other benefits and perks, which will help them adapt to the policies and adjust easily to the new role.
The Prime Minister told the youth that they must join this training and must share their experiences related to it. The Prime Minister had earlier launched the ‘Rozgar Mela’ in the month of October. He handed over appointment letters to 75,000 newly recruited personnel at a function. In addition to the categories in which the youth were appointed last time, this time teachers, lecturers, nurses, nursing officers, doctors, pharmacists, radiographers and other technical and para medical posts will also be recruited.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, this time a large number of youths have been appointed in various central forces by the Union Home Ministry. It may be noted that the Prime Minister had directed all the Ministries and Departments to fill up the existing vacancies of sanctioned posts at the earliest.
