In such a situation, once again Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala has accused the Modi government of trying to abolish the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The Congress spokesperson has said that if the crop is not being purchased at MSP, then what is the meaning of MSP. Mr. Surjewala said this in a press conference here today. He said that the central government has recently increased the MSP of many crops, but when there is no purchase of the crop at the MSP, then the MSP has no meaning. He said that he himself is not saying this while he is telling the purchase figures on MSP. He said that against one crore 19 lakh quintals of gram, only six lakh 36 thousand quintals of gram were bought, now where should the farmers take the rest of the crop.

MSP Congress BJP : Surjewala said that the cost is not being given to the farmers, which is a betrayal of the farmers. He alleged that the Modi government wants to eliminate the MSP by weakening it with Chor Darwaza. He said that the government is cheating, betraying and deceiving the farmers regarding MSP, which is clearly visible from the MSP purchase figures. He said that inflation is increasing but no attention is being paid to the farmers. He said that former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, BJP State President Dr. Satish Poonia, Leader of Opposition Gulab Chand Kataria should answer this.

Farmers should be apologized…
MSP Congress BJP : Mr. Surjewala accused the Modi government of playing with the farmers and said that it should apologize to the farmers. He said that for the first time, GST has been imposed on agriculture. Referring to a report, he said that the Agriculture Department did not spend 68 thousand crore rupees of the budget on agriculture. He said that farmers protested for 382 days in the country in which seven hundred farmers died. Now it has been decided not to buy the crop at all, when the purchase is not made, then the MSP will end automatically. Let us inform that Mr. Surjewala is a Congress candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections to be held in Rajasthan on Friday.
