GST return file through online mode
First of all, you open the GST Portal (www.gst.gov.in) on your laptop, computer or phone.
After this, enter the PAN number and state code.
After this you will get a 15 digit GST number.
After that upload your challan, separate challan number will be issued for each challan.
Outward return, inward return and cumulative monthly return have to be filed online after uploading the challan.
If there is an error in this process, then correct it and select the option to re-file the return.
Thereafter, on or before 10th of the following month, file the outward supply return in Form GSTR-1 through the information section on the GST Common Portal (GSTN).
Thereafter, you will be made available to you in GSTR-2A of the out supply furnished by the supplier.
After this, the details of inward supplies have to be entered in the GSTR-2 form.
Note that the supplier can accept or reject the modification of the details of inward supplies provided by the recipient in GSTR-1A.
SMS Via Nil GSTR-1
To fill Nil GSTR-1 through SMS, type the tax period in the format GSTINMMYYYY and send an SMS to 14409. After this you will get a 6 digit verification code. After this the taxpayer will have to send another SMS by typing CNFR106 digit verification code to 14409.
