Modi Government To Make Houses: The Modi government has approved the construction of 1.07 lakh houses in five states. These five states are Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Puducherry. The construction of these houses has been approved in the meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC). The Ministry of Urban Development has issued a statement saying that the construction of these houses has been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Durga Shankar Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development, in which approval has been given for the construction of 1.07 lakh houses. At the same time, the Ministry of Urban Development has reviewed the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). The ministry said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) Mission, 1.14 crore houses were approved, out of which 53 lakh houses have been completed and delivered to the beneficiaries. An investment of Rs 7.52 crore has been made on this mission, of which Rs 1.85 crore has been provided by the central government. In which 1.14 lakh crore has been released by the central government.
The Secretary, Ministry of Urban Development has ordered states and union territories to expedite the construction of houses. He also reviewed the construction of lighthouse projects in Chennai, Indore, Rajkot Ranchi, Agartala Lucknow and ordered to complete them within the time limit.
