Justin Trudeau visits Zelensky
Kyiv. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau suddenly arrived in Ukraine and met with President Volodymyr Zelensky in the capital Kyiv, amid heavy bombing and Russia’s attack on Ukraine. Before him, America’s First Lady Jill Biden had also reached Kyiv and met Zelensky’s wife. He was followed by Justin Trudeau and held a joint press conference with President Zelensky in the capital, Kyiv.
In a joint press conference, Trudeau said Russian President Vladimir Putin is responsible for the lowest level of war crimes. Its accountability should be fixed. He said- I have seen for the first time the brutality of the Russian attack from the front. Earlier, Justin Trudeau tweeted that he is in Ukraine with Canadian Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland and Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Jolieu. He wrote – We have come here to express our support to Ukraine and its people. Our message to President Zelensky is that Canada will always stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine.
Foreign leaders continue to visit the capital, Kyiv, despite heavy bombardment by Russian troops in different parts of Ukraine. Before the Canadian Prime Minister, Croatian Prime Minister Andrzej Plankovic and German Parliament President Barbel Bess also reached Kyiv and met Zelensky.
