JEE Mains: CBI interrogating Russian national, accused of hacking software

central investigative agency CBI today detained a Russian national in the JEE (Mains) exam 2021 scam when he was coming to India from Kazakhstan. The name of the accused is Mikhail Sharjeen. The accused foreign national Mikhail Sharzin was detained from IGI Airport, where the CBI is now interrogating him. Look out circular was already issued against this foreign national. CBI last year JEE Mains Exam A case was registered against Affinity Education Pvt Ltd and three directors-Siddharth Krishna, Vishwambhar Mani Tripathi and Govind Varshney and touts and associates for irregularities in It was alleged that the Director, in connivance with touts and associates, was manipulating the online JEE-Mains examination by solving question papers to get students admitted in top institutes in exchange for money from an examination center located in Sonepat (Haryana). After this, in September last year, the CBI raided about 19 places in connection with the alleged manipulation by private institution Affinity Education Private Limited and its directors. The raids were conducted after the examination was over. The prestigious JEE (Mains) exam is very important for admission in IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) and NITs (National Institutes of Technology).
Case of recovery of Rs 12-15 lakh
In this case of CBI raids were conducted at 19 places in Delhi-National Capital Region, Pune, Jamshedpur, Indore and Bengaluru, where during the raids 25 laptops, seven PCs (private computer), along with around 30 checks of later date- Along with the PDC (Provisional Degree Certificate) mark sheets of various students, a large number of objectionable documents/equipment were also recovered.
