JDU candidate in Gujarat created the record of getting the least number of votes: Sushil Kumar Modi

Patna Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi today said that while BJP created a record by winning 156 seats in Gujarat, the Janata Dal United (JDU) candidate created the record for getting the least number of votes in the state.

Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Modi said in a statement issued on Saturday that while the BJP set a record by winning 156 seats in Gujarat, JDU’s Bapunagar Assembly candidate Pathan Imtiyaz Sidkhan has set the record for getting the lowest number of votes in Gujarat by getting 30 votes. According to the Election Commission, BJP got 52.50 percent votes while JDU got zero percent votes.

Modi said while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) achieved the status of a national party by securing 13 per cent votes, the JDU was reduced to the status of a regional party by securing zero per cent votes. He said that opposition unity is like a dead horse, no matter how many whips are applied, that horse cannot stand any more. The BJP MP said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on his own gave AAP the status of government and national party in two states.

At the same time, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was able to win 45 seats for his party with great difficulty in his home state as well. He said why JDU National President Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh is silent on Kudhani and Gujarat. Singh’s second innings is starting with a defeat. It is better that JDU merges itself with RJD and hands over the command of Bihar to Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.
