IPL 2022 Retentions: Know here which team retained whom, read the full list of retentions
IPL 2022 Full List of Retained Players: On Tuesday, ahead of the IPL 2022 auction, the Indian Cricket Board released the retention list on Tuesday. Ahead of the mega auction, eight teams have retained a total of 27 players. KL Rahul, Rashid Khan, Hardik Pandya, Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Ravichandran Ashwin and Kagiso Rabada are among the big names that have been released by their franchises.
Defending champions Chennai Super Kings retained skipper MS Dhoni as the second retention in their side after all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, while England’s Moeen Ali and India’s uncapped player Ruturaj Gaikwad are the third and fourth retention players.
Punjab Kings will have huge amount in the auction
Punjab Kings will have the highest amount in the IPL 2022 auction. After retaining Mayank Agarwal and Arshdeep Singh, Rs 72 crore is left in Punjab’s purse. At the same time, after retaining four players, Delhi Capitals has the least amount of Rs 47.5 crore left.

Chennai Super Kings- Ravindra Jadeja (Rs 16 cr), MS Dhoni (Rs 12 cr), Moeen Ali (Rs 8 cr) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (Rs 6 cr)
Kolkata Knight Riders- Andre Russell (Rs 12 crore, to be deducted from Rs 16 crore purse), Varun Chakraborty (Rs 8 crore, to be cut from Rs 12 crore purse), Venkatesh Iyer (Rs 8 crore) and Sunil Narine (Rs 6 crore)
Mumbai Indians- Rohit Sharma (Rs 16 cr), Jasprit Bumrah (Rs 12 cr), Suryakumar Yadav (Rs 8 cr) and Kieran Pollard (Rs 6 cr)
Royal Challengers Bangalore- Virat Kohli (Rs 15 cr), Glenn Maxwell (Rs 11 cr) and Mohammad Siraj (Rs 7 cr)
Sunrisers Hyderabad- Kane Williamson (Rs 14 cr), Abdul Samad (Rs 4 cr) and Umran Malik (Rs 4 cr)
Rajasthan Royals- Sanju Samson (Rs 14 cr), Jos Buttler (Rs 10 cr) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (Rs 4 cr)
Punjab Kings- Mayank Agarwal (Rs 12 cr, 14 cr will be deducted from purse), Arshdeep Singh (Rs 4 cr)
Delhi Capitals- Rishabh Pant (Rs 16 cr), Axar Patel (Rs 9 cr, 12 cr to be cut from purse), Prithvi Shaw (Rs 7.5 cr, 8 cr cut from purse) and Enrique Nortje (Rs 6.5 cr).
