IPL 2021: Brian Lara’s big prediction about Shubman Gill, know what he said
Brian Lara on Shubman Gill: Former West Indies captain Brian Lara believes that Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) opener Shubman Gill is just one match away from playing a big innings. Lara feels that Shubman has been a bit unlucky and has shown a glimpse of form in the ongoing tournament in the UAE. This is the reason why he should not be dropped from the playing XI. Shubman has scored 48, 13, 9 and 30 runs in the second half of IPL 2021 till the match against Punjab Kings.
Brian Lara said, “Shubman has been a little unlucky. If you see him batting, he is in some form and I am sure he is a match away from a big score. He is partnering well with Venkatesh Iyer And I think both of them can come together and do something special. KKR will not want to replace Shubman as of now.”
Lara said that the batting order of Punjab Kings, which looks strong, has not performed as expected. He said, “I think he has the potential. He is not playing good cricket right now. His batting has always been strong. However, Nicholas Pooran and Chris Gayle have been out on several occasions.”
Let us inform that Chris Gayle of Punjab Kings has withdrawn from the bio bubble and he will no longer be a part of the team in the remaining matches of IPL 2021. Gayle took a sudden decision to pull out of the tournament on Thursday. However, he is struggling with poor form.
