Admission in Delhi University: Students accepted 49,620 seats, only 30544 remaining

New Delhi. Around 50,000 students included in the first list of Delhi University have accepted the seat allotted to them. The university on Wednesday released the first list of seat allotment for admission to undergraduate level programmes. Till 10 am on Thursday, 49,620 students have accepted the seats allotted to them.

The first list contained the names of more than 80 thousand students. Students have been given three days from October 19 to October 21 to ‘accept’ the allotted seat. Delhi University’s Dean of Admission Related Subjects Hanit Gandhi said, the university had allotted 80,164 seats for various programmes. Till 10 am on Thursday, 49,620 students had accepted the seats allotted to them.

The university had started the admission process for undergraduate programs in various colleges last month. This year, the university is admitting students on the basis of their ‘Common University Entrance Test’ (CUET) marks instead of their class XII marks. (Language)
