India cleans New Zealand, won the T20 series 3-0
IND vs NZ, T20 Series 2021: India (IND) defeated New Zealand (NZ) by 73 runs in the third T20 match to clean sweep the series. Batting first, the Indian team had given a target of 185 runs to New Zealand, in response to which the New Zealand team could score only 111 runs for the loss of all wickets. Both Indian batsman and bowler performed brilliantly in this match. Winning the toss in this match, captain Rohit Sharma surprised everyone by deciding to bat first. However, despite the dew factor, Team India’s performance was very good and took the series 3-0. Axar Patel took three wickets for India. While Harshal Patel took two wickets.
Such was the innings of New Zealand
Chasing the target of 185 runs, New Zealand got off to a bad start and Daryl Mitchell was dismissed after scoring 5 runs. After this, Mark Chapman and Glenn Phillips, who came to bat, could not even open their account. This was followed by a partnership between Martin Guptill and Tim Seifert. However, Guptill returned to the pavilion on a personal score of 51 runs. After his dismissal, the innings faltered and wickets kept falling. New Zealand’s team was all out for 111 runs in 17.2 overs. Axar Patel took the highest three wickets for India. Harshal Patel took two wickets. Deepak Chahar Yuzvendra Chahal and Venkatesh Iyer took one wicket each.

Captain Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan opened the innings for India. Batting fast, both scored 69 runs in the power play. However, Ishan Kishan fell victim to Mitchell Santner on a personal score of 29 runs. Suryakumar Yadav could not even open the account. Rishabh Pant could contribute only 4 runs. After that Shreyas Iyer and Rohit Sharma took over the innings and got quick runs.
Rohit completed his half-century. However, Rohit was dismissed by Ish Sodhi on a personal score of 56 runs. Venkatesh Iyer contributed 20 and Shreyas Iyer contributed 25 runs. Harshal Patel scored 18 runs. Deepak Chahar played a stormy innings of 21 not out in just 8 balls. Akshar Patel remained unbeaten on 2 runs. Mitchell Santner, who was captaining New Zealand in this match, took the maximum 3 wickets. Apart from them, Adam Milne, Lockie Ferguson and Ish Sodhi took one wicket each.
Team India played with many changes
In the last match, a major change was made in the playing XI of Team India. Vice-captain KL Rahul and senior spinner Ravichandran Ashwin were rested in this match and young batsman Ishan Kishan was included in the playing XI. Apart from this, Yuzvendra Chahal was given a chance in this match.
