Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) R. Sathyasundaram said an FIR has been registered against the organizers under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) for not taking permission from the police. The event was organized by several Hindu organizations including Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal said that they have not received any information about the FIR.
