difference between satyendra jain and gautam
Delhi government’s Dalit minister Rajendra Pal Gautam has resigned. He resigned at the behest of the party, which was approved by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena. On the other hand, Satyendra Jain is in jail for several months in the hawala case but he still remains a minister. He has not resigned. His portfolios have been divided among other ministers but his resignation has not been taken even though he is in jail on corruption charges. The controversy in which Rajendra Pal Gautam got involved is a social and political dispute, but he was quickly resigned.
Rajendra Pal Gautam had attended an event in which thousands of Hindus took a pledge not to worship Hindu deities while reiterating the oath of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. After its video went viral, BJP accused Gautam of being anti-Hindu and Arvind Kejriwal hastened his resignation because Kejriwal may have got Ambedkar’s photo installed in all government offices but he is doing Hindutva politics. In the Gujarat elections, they are asking for votes by claiming themselves to be incarnations of Krishna and on the other hand their ministers are making a resolution not to worship Rama-Krishna. Only then, seeing the possibility of loss of votes, Kejriwal resigned from Gautam.
