Chennai and Delhi teams will clash in the first qualifier, RCB and KKR will compete in the Eliminator
IPL 2021 Playoffs: After the tremendous thrill of league matches, IPL 2021 has now reached its decisive phase. IPL playoff matches will start from tomorrow. Tomorrow the first qualifier will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals. The teams of MS Dhoni and Rishabh Pant will clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium from 7.30 pm. While the winning team of this match will reach the final, the losing team will get another chance to reach the final.
The first eliminator will be played between skipper Virat Kohli’s RCB and Eoin Morgan’s KKR on Monday in the IPL playoffs. The losing team in this match will be out of the playoffs. At the same time, the winning team will have to fight one more match to reach the final. The winner of the Eliminator match between RCB and KKR will take on the losing team in tomorrow’s match between Chennai and Delhi in the second qualifier. The final of the tournament will be played on October 15.
Delhi and Bangalore were defeated in the playoffs last year
Teams from Delhi Capitals and Bangalore also made it to the playoffs of the IPL season played in the UAE last year. The first qualifier was played between Mumbai and Delhi in Dubai. Mumbai team won this match by 57 runs. After this the Eliminator match was played between Bangalore and Hyderabad. Bangalore team was out of the tournament after losing this match by 6 wickets.
After this the second qualifier match was held between Hyderabad and Delhi. Delhi team won the match by 17 runs and got the ticket for the final against Mumbai. However, Mumbai broke Delhi’s dream of winning their first IPL title by winning by 5 wickets in the final. This year also the condition of the playoffs is somewhat similar to the last season. Now it has to be seen whether this time any one team from Delhi and Bangalore can win their first IPL title or not.
