Aam Aadmi Party supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is not a doodh ke dhule. When he gave Rajya Sabha tickets to ND Gupta and Sushil Gupta in Delhi, there were allegations that tickets were given in exchange for money. Similar questions were raised in Punjab on the decision to send two businessmen to the Rajya Sabha. Sukesh Chandrashekhar, lodged in Tihar Jail, wrote a letter to Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, alleging that he gave Rs 10 crore to Satyendra Jain as protection money for his security in jail. Keep in mind that Jain is also lodged in Tihar Jail and before going to jail he was jail minister. Sukesh’s second allegation is that he gave Rs 50 crore to the party for taking any post of the Aam Aadmi Party in South India and for the Rajya Sabha. He has claimed that Arvind Kejriwal had also met at a farm house in Delhi and there was talk of raising Rs 500 crore. Sukesh has written in another letter that he had given money to Satyendra Jain and Kailash Gehlot.
These allegations being leveled against Kejriwal and his party leaders have no meaning and no basis. Despite this, the Bharatiya Janata Party is so restless that it has not only demanded an inquiry on the allegation of a thug in jail, but has also demanded a lie detector test of Chief Minister Kejriwal. Think, Sukesh Chandrashekhar has been in jail continuously since 2017. A total of 30 FIRs are registered against him. The Delhi Police had arrested Anna DMK leader for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 50 crore in the name of giving bribe to the Election Commission. Later, he was separately arrested for duping the wife of Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivender Singh of Rs 2 crore.
Amidst the Aam Aadmi Party’s activism in the Gujarat elections and preparations for the announcement of municipal elections in Delhi, Sukesh for the first time leveled allegations against the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party and Kejriwal. It is a matter of doubt in itself that why Sukesh, who has been in jail for five years, did not mention anyone earlier? Why all of a sudden he started leveling allegations before the election? Why did the media start tossing him as soon as he accused him and all the BJP leaders started doing politics on him? BJP is feeling that this will bring electoral benefits but it shows the poverty of BJP. It has been in possession of the Municipal Corporation for 15 years and has nothing to show for its achievements. So doing politics on the charges of a thug.
