Bhilwara: Troubled by crop loss, farmer commits suicide
Bhilwara. A case of suicide by hanging from a tree of a farmer has come to light in Banera police station area of Bhilwara district in Rajasthan. ASI Suresh Kumar of the police station said that Ramesh (23), a resident of Bairwa Mohalla, had gone to the farm in the morning for agricultural work, which did not return.
Meanwhile, the villagers noticed the dead body of Ramesh hanging from a neem tree on the roadside field and informed the family members. The family members and after that the police also reached the spot and brought down the dead body from the tree. Later the body was sent to the mortuary at Banera Hospital for post-mortem. A crowd of people gathered on the spot after the dead body of the youth was found hanging from the tree.
Jamnalal Bairwa, the uncle of the deceased, gave a report to the police that the crops of maize, urad and moong, etc., grown in Ramesh’s field were damaged due to the recent unseasonal rains. Since then, Ramesh used to be very upset. His father’s mental condition is also not good. Police are probing the reasons for the suicide. (talk)
