IPL 2021: The second leg of the IPL will be played in the UAE from September 19. Before this, there is good news for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). KKR swashbuckling batsman Shubman is expected to be fit by the time the second phase of the IPL begins. According to the report of a sports website, information has been received from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) that Shubman has been in rehab for two weeks at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and he will be released before the IPL.

KKR CEO Venky Mysore said, “We are hopeful that Shubman will be available for the IPL.” If Shubman returns in IPL, then Kolkata’s team will get a lot of strength. Shubman Gill did well in the last IPL. However, he was injured in the past and due to this came back from the tour of England.

Shubman was at home after his return from England and started working out at the NCA earlier this month. A source said, “Shubman is not in pain. Slowly his workload is increasing and he is also jogging two or three days a week. We are sure that he will be fit before the IPL.”

KKR is planning to leave for Abu Dhabi on August 27. Shubman may not be ready to go with the team this month, but he may join the team in the first week of September. The second phase of IPL will start from 19th September. Teams of Chennai and Mumbai have reached UAE for IPL. Slowly leaving for UAE.

On Tuesday, the BCCI indicated that spectators may be allowed to go to the stadium in the second phase of the IPL to be held in the UAE. Earlier, the Emirates Cricket Board has also talked about discussing the conduct of IPL with 60 percent of the audience. If there is an agreement between the two, then the spectators will be able to enjoy the IPL matches by going to the stadium.
