WhatsApp Upcoming Feature: WhatsApp has reportedly started rolling out a new beta update for Android smartphones to bring the version 2.21.25.17. According to reports, the update is about a feature that will allow users to create communities in the future. Let us tell you that Facebook’s app-based messaging platform has been working on a community feature for some time. As per previous reports, this service will probably be linked to Groups.

According to the report, this feature will provide more control to the group administrator. This feature is expected to provide an option to create a group within a group. This feature will be very similar to that of arranging multiple channels in one place. The report further stated that the sub-groups also appear to be end-to-end encrypted.

As per the recent screenshots shared in the reports, an administrator will be able to link certain groups to form a community. The app also states that when you link a group, everyone in it will be added to the community and its announcement group. WhatsApp has not yet provided any official details about the feature but reports suggest that it will take a long time to roll out to the public.

This week, the platform has also announced more controls for its Disappearing Messages feature. Users now have the option to turn on this feature for all their new one-on-one chats. Once set, all future messages in these WhatsApp chats will be automatically deleted by WhatsApp. Apart from this, the company has also added two new times for disappearing messages, which include 24 hours and 90 days. The company has clarified that this feature is optional and does not change or remove any of your existing chats. The disappearance of message setting will also not affect messages that users have sent or received in the first chat.
