A 23-year-old woman was arrested after confiscating 345 grams of mephedrone in Borivali, Mumbai
MUMBAI: A 23-year-old woman was arrested after confiscating 345 grams of mephedrone from a 23-year-old woman in north Mumbai suburb Borivali. A police officer gave this information on Sunday.
Mephedrone is a type of narcotic. The value of the drug seized from the woman is said to be around Rs 50 lakh in the international market.
The accused woman, Muskan Deepak Kanojia, was arrested on Saturday by a patrol party of MHB police station after she was found walking suspiciously in the area, a police official said.
He said, ‘We have got 345 grams of mephedrone from him. A case has been registered against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and efforts are on to uncover his illegal network.
