Since his debut in 1999, the right-arm pacer has taken 235 international wickets in 17 Tests, 120 ODIs and 27 T20Is. Some time ago Ashish Nehra had a conversation with Gaurav Kapoor in the show Breakfast with Champions. In the show, the fast bowler revealed the reasons for his lack of presence on the social media platform.

He narrated an interesting anecdote remembering the old days. He told that once his wife (Rushma Nehra) gave him an iPhone 7 as a gift. He said that some guy asked him how much better the iPhone 7 is than its previous version?. Ashish Nehra disclosed his reply to that person at that time and said that he has no idea about its earlier versions as before that he had Nokia E51 phone.

Nehra told that he learned to use WhatsApp in 2017. Previously they only knew about the “red and green buttons” on their phones. When Gaurav Kapoor advised Ashish Nehra to stay on Twitter, the pacer revealed that he had actually received an offer from an agency to post commercial tweets on the micro-blogging site. However, Nehra said that he refused, saying that he does not like “being asked to do something by anyone”.
