Jammu| Jammu and Kashmir Director General (Prisons) Hemant Kumar Lohia was assassinated in Jammu on Tuesday. Police gave this information. Police sources said the slit body of the senior IPS officer was allegedly found at his residence in Jammu city.
Sources said, the servant of the top official is absconding. The body has been sent for medico-legal formalities. It clearly looks like a murder. This is not an incident related to terror. Lohia was a 1992 batch IPS officer and was a native of Assam.
