Assam: Netaji became a boat driver for the needy amidst flood situation, watch video

Out of total 36 districts of Assam, in 32 districts a large part of the land has been submerged due to the inundation of Brahmaputra and Barak rivers as well as their tributaries.

At present, the northeastern states of the country are in the grip of floods. The situation is getting serious due to incessant rains for the past few days. After landslides in many states including Assam Sikkim, now most areas of Assam have been submerged due to rising water level of rivers. Due to this the situation there is worrying. People are looking helpless. Meanwhile, Assam Transport Minister Parimal Shuklabaidya is seen helping people amid the floods. Recently, a video of him has surfaced on social media, in which he is seen working as a sailor to transport a patient to the hospital for treatment.

According to information, Transport Minister Parimal is camping at Silchar in Assam’s Cachar district and is monitoring the flood situation in Barak Valley along with local MLAs, Deputy Commissioners and senior officials of the three districts. At the same time, due to the rising water level of the river, the person going to the hospital for his dialysis had to face problems. After which Transport Minister Parimal came forward to help him and himself seated him on the boat, with a wooden paddle, the boat was seen crossing the flooded road in Barak valley.

Significantly, in 32 districts out of 36 districts of Assam, a large part of the land has been submerged due to the overflowing of Brahmaputra and Barak rivers as well as their tributaries. In many low-lying areas, people were seen walking in knee-deep water. Army and NDRF teams are constantly ready to help the people. Till now thousands of people are also being rescued.
