Meerut News: In Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, corona infection is spreading at double the speed amid the threat of Omicron In Meerut. Today, 12 corona infected patients have been found in the investigation of 4,947 samples, whereas yesterday eight patients were found. Including new patients, the number of active corona cases in Meerut has reached 31.
12 new cases of corona found in Meerut
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Akhilesh Mohan (CMO Dr. Akhilesh Mohan) said that in the report received tonight, 12 new cases of corona have been found in Meerut. He said that three of these patients are admitted in the hospital while the remaining patients are being treated at their homes. According to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO Dr. Akhilesh Mohan), after the new patients received today in Meerut, the number of active patients has reached 31. He said that out of these 28 patients are being treated at home.
Corona samples sent for examination of 4706 patients
According to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO Dr. Akhilesh Mohan), today 4706 patients have been sent samples for examination. He said that the rise of corona patients in Meerut district has started from 26 December. Four patients each were found on 26 December and 27 December. Whereas on December 28, eight new patients of Corona were found. He said that at present it is a matter of relief that no patient of Omicron has been found in Meerut so far. Not only this, the condition of all the patients of Corona is out of danger.
Omicron variant not confirmed in Meerut: CMO
According to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO Dr. Akhilesh Mohan), four of the patients found on Tuesday are employees of the electricity department. One of them had come to Kankarkheda from Dubai. After getting positive in the investigation, the Health Department has sent its sample for genome sequencing. More than 60 employees of the electricity department have been investigated. However, none of these have been found infected. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Akhilesh Mohan (CMO Dr. Akhilesh Mohan) said that so far corona has been confirmed in five people who have returned from other countries in the district. So far 1306 people coming from abroad have been investigated in the district. None of the Omicron variants have been confirmed.
