5 Anti-Tank Missile Launches from Lebanon – Casualties in Shatula, Elimination of Terrorist near Nir Am
In a distressing turn of events, a fifth Israeli individual has lost their life due to Hezbollah’s fire on the Lebanese border within less than a week. This tragic incident unfolded this morning in Shatula. Hezbollah has gone a step further by releasing documented evidence of these missile launches.
In a devastating occurrence, an anti-tank missile attack this morning has resulted in the loss of a construction worker’s life, leaving two others injured. The targeted location was the Moshav Shatula in the north. Swift action was taken as rescue teams promptly evacuated the injured to a medical facility.
To date, a total of five anti-tank missiles have been launched from Lebanese territory into Israel. An official source within Hezbollah has confirmed their involvement in these attacks to the Al Jazeera network. In response, the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) has taken action by targeting the sources responsible for these missile launches.
Providing insight into the immediate response, a senior medic at MDA Dor Vakanin shared, “Upon receiving reports of injured individuals, our medical team rushed to the scene for immediate care. While en route, we encountered the sounds of an explosion, compelling us to seek shelter. Once it was safe, we continued our journey to the event site. Unfortunately, we found a 40-year-old man with severe injuries who had lost consciousness, and despite our efforts, we had to confirm his passing. Subsequently, three more wounded individuals were brought to our facility, two in moderate condition and one in mild condition. They were quickly transferred to MDA’s intensive care mobile units and transported to the hospital.”
Furthermore, there was another alarming incident as a rocket struck a house in Sderot, fortunately resulting in no casualties.
In a separate development, IDF fighter jets, acting under the intelligence guidance of the Shin Bet, successfully eliminated Bilal al-Kadra in the Gaza Strip. Al-Kadra was the commander of the Nohba force in the South Khan Yunis battalion of Hamas and was responsible for the deadly attack on Kibbutz Nirim and Nir Oz. Notably, other key operatives within both the Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad organizations were also neutralized.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, recent reports have revealed that 80 residents of Kibbutz Nir Oz in the Gaza Strip remain missing following the Hamas attack that occurred over a week ago. Regrettably, at least 25 residents of the kibbutz, which housed nearly 400 people, have lost their lives. In the neighboring Kfar Gaza massacre, a minimum of 52 kibbutz residents were killed, with 13 individuals still unaccounted for. Additionally, seven residents were taken as captives, and six others sustained injuries.
