15 MLAs heavy on 50 MLAs
On one side there are 50 MLAs, of which Shiv Sena has 38 and 12 independents. Keep in mind that no MLA of Maharashtra is weak. He has his own base and is financially strong. So, the strength of 50 MLAs can be estimated. With him on top is the Bharatiya Janata Party, which has 114 MLAs including its allies. BJP is a capable party in itself, which ran the government for five years in the last assembly. The government of the country is his and the sword of the central agencies hangs on the heads of the leaders. The bureaucracy of the state is also considering its own good in supporting the BJP. Despite this, along with Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, the remaining 15 MLAs are weighing heavily.
The question is why 38 and 12 independent MLAs of Shiv Sena are not showing their strength? Why are the supporters of these MLAs not coming out on the streets and openly speaking that these MLAs have done right? The offices of these MLAs are being attacked, so why are their supporters not working to stop these attacks? Have the supporters of these MLAs come out on the road, except in a few places? By law, the supporters of the BJP and along with them the supporters of these rebel MLAs should have been on the road in the joy of forming their government. But everyone is hiding in the house. The result of people not coming out in support of the rebel MLAs of Shiv Sena has been that Shiv Sena has become stronger. Uddhav’s strength has increased and it has helped him to recover from the setback he had suffered on the first day.
