Zelensky said the war will not end yet

Kyiv. It’s been 80 days since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but there is no sign of an end to the war. Experts in Western countries are anticipating its prolongation and believe that by the end of the year, Russia will lose this war. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has also said that the war is not going to end immediately. He has also said that the impact of this war will be on countries around the world.

Zelensky said that the people of Ukraine are doing everything possible to drive the Russians out of the country, but today no one can predict how long the war will last. In his video address to the nation, he said – it will unfortunately depend not only on our people, who are already giving their maximum, but it will depend on our partners, on the European countries, on the whole free world.

He said he was grateful to all those working to strengthen sanctions on Russia and increase military and financial aid to Ukraine. The President of Ukraine said – this is the only way to protect freedom in the face of Russian aggression. For Western countries it is not just about an expense or an expense account, it is about the future.

Zelensky claimed that Ukraine shot down the 200th Russian plane during the war on Friday and that they inflicted heavy losses on Russia in terms of tanks, armored vehicles, helicopters and drones. He said – and why? So that the statue of Lenin could stand for some more time in the temporarily occupied Geniechesk? In April, the Russian military re-installed a Lenin statue in Genichesk, a city in the southern Kherson region. He claimed that the Ukrainian army had retaken towns and villages from the occupation of Russian troops.
