New Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party has become an attacker after the CBI raids on Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia over Delhi’s new liquor policy. Making it a political issue, the party has said that there will be a contest between Narendra Modi vs Arvind Kejriwal in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia has claimed that the BJP has panicked over Kejriwal’s popularity across the country, hence his government is being maligned and harassed. He also expressed apprehension that he would be sent to jail in two-four days.
On Saturday, a day after the CBI raid, Sisodia held a press conference and accused the BJP of doing unnecessary politics, saying all the allegations were false. The Education Minister, showing copies of the American newspaper ‘New York Times’, said – ‘New York Times’ had a picture of burning bodies on the banks of the Ganges during the Corona period. Now the picture of our education policy is printed. The countrymen were proud of this. But BJP did not like this thing. They have trouble with the popularity of Arvind Kejriwal.
Sisodia said- There was a raid in my office of Delhi Secretariat also. CBI treated my family well. Defending his liquor policy, he said – this liquor policy is the best policy. Had the Lt Governor not decided to change the policy, Delhi would have got 10 thousand crores. He said- BJP leader Manoj Tiwari talks about eight thousand crore scam, other leaders are talking about 11 hundred crore scam and Lt Governor talked about 144 crore scam. But none of this is mentioned in the CBI FIR.
Attacking Prime Minister Modi, Deputy Chief Minister said- Modi ji only works for millionaires, billionaires. Arvind Kejriwal thinks about the health of the poor, children and people. Modi ji dreams of toppling the government. Sisodia said- Two days ago Arvind Kejriwal launched Make India Number One campaign. Modiji should have been proud of this. Should have supported. But within two days of this, Modi ji got Kejriwal’s education minister raided. He said- Kejriwal thinks for the common people 24 hours a day, Modi ji thinks about his few friends, thinks how to topple the governments. He said that the BJP has trouble with Arvind Kejriwal. People all over the country have started liking him.
